Could it be that the logging config that you create is incorrect or
malformatted in some way??

If you stop at the update( Dictionary config ) in PaxLoggingService,
can you dump the content of the Dictionary back here?

I am also worried that you have found another dead-lock issue, so I
take this fairly seriously. Your help is really appreciated.
