IIUIC, Pax Web already supports filters and servlets in accordance to
the Servlet 2.5 spec. Alin has done a great job to support deployment
of WAR files directly as OSGi bundles which are picked up by Pax Web
and 'mounted'.

So, I think it is great that you consider moving your codebase to
OPS4j and Pax, but I wonder if there is enough value to be integrated
to be useful instead of 'just confusing'. So, if you could highlight
areas of similarities, difference and where convergence can occur and
where it shouldn't, I think Alin could provide a better judgment of
what to do next.
