Oh - I see. I think :-) Does this mean that you really only expect the
samples to run against your current development stream? I mention this
because the org.ops4j.pax.web.samples.helloworld-wc gives an HTTP 404
error when run using the latest released version.

is that this line
mvn:org.ops4j.pax.web/pax-web-jetty-bun...@update
in the samples *bundles needs to be replaced with something like
this:
mvn:org.ops4j.pax.web/pax-web-service
If I make that substitution I can run the samples using pax-run.
I think this is a general issue and not something specific to my
network/locale/OS ......
