Did you configure your settings.xml for the proxy ? Or the other way around: does normal maven commands succeed accessing the internet ? If so then aether should find and use this automatically. Its the "normal" maven approach here. No special flag/parameter in the url supported yet (and i doubt that would make sense). Toni
