Moin,
let me just say hello before flooding this list with a whole lot of
questions...
I've had Pax on my radar for about four years or so, but I've never
really used anything of it, mainly because most of the subprojects
seemed to solve problems I didn't have or had other solutions for, and
because the Wiki was and still is in a state to scare off a casual
visitor after a few clicks.
Yeah, I know, most of us developers would rather write code than docs,
but that's really one of the biggest problems in our business:

Some of my background: I created and worked on a major in-house OSGi
project in the automotive industry between 2007 and 2010, based on
Equinox, Eclipse PDE and Eclipse RCP. Since then, I've moved on to Java
EE 6 and Spring projects, and I would like to bring the best of these
worlds together to build lean and elegant modular enterprise
applications based on OSGi.
The critical mass of interest in Pax has now come for me mainly with Pax
Exam 2 and Pax Wicket, triggered by a lively discussion on the Wicket
mailing list about Wicket and OSGi.
I hope to understand some more of what's happening on Planet Pax or
maybe contribute some ideas, source code or documentation.
Best regards,
Harald
