Glad to hear you work with smart TVs. You should also have mentioned you work
for Jolla (MeeGo) imo.
I know my toaster is Linux, but most living room boxes have 2 main functions:
gaming and video streaming.
So the benefits of having Tizen everywhere is obvious, except probably for the
jolly Jolla guys.

You know, almost everything including your toaster is Linux these
days. What would be the benefit?
Fwiw, I work with smart TVs and think open APIs are enough such as
HbbTV that is now disrupting the closed app model.
