Hello Tizen Developers:

Just a short note to let everyone know that the Intel HTML5 Development
Environment now includes a beta build tool for Tizen HTML5 widgets (WGT). At
this time the WGT files generated do not include a signature and we cannot yet
run them inside the Intel XDK emulator (thus some of the reasons for the beta
label). We do, however, plan to provide emulation support and store-ready build
support as our development environment evolves. I cannot provide a hard
time-line, but I can say that Tizen is one of our key target platforms for
developing HTML5 apps.

If you want to check out the XDK you can find info about it at
http://software.intel.com/html5. In particular, the App Dev Center and the
Intel XDK can be explored directly by going here:
http://appcenter.html5tools-software.intel.com/

Note that you may recognize some of these tools as similar to the appMobi XDK
and related services. Last spring Intel purchased the HTML5 app emulator and
build tools from appMobi, including a small group of key developers. The
appMobi name and company continues as a cloud-services organization. We are now
in the process of updating and enhancing the tool, which will allow us to
rebrand the APIs and tool elements - so please don't be confused by the
occasional reference to appMobi in the documentation, etc. - this is an Intel
HTML5 development tool.

Regards,

Paul Fischer
