and why would any be interested in paying for a proprietary closed solution
given that tizen's catch-cry is all about being open source? isn't this against
the whole thing? opengarden has no source advertised anywhere, so for all you
know it could be littered with NSA backdoors - no source, no way to verify.

just because someone slaps open onto something doesn't make it open source
friendly/compatible? it certainly doesn't belong in tizen. if some specific oem
feels they want to ship it with their products - great, though i really don't
see this as being a positive thing to ship considering it being a closed binary
blob. not to mention it is all about avoiding your carrier detecting you are
using tethering and wanting to charge you more or block you (not all telcos do
this). shipping software that actively thwarts what your customers (if you are
an oem making devices, your customers buying the bulk of your products are
telcos) want to do is a great way of hurting your relationships with them and
basically losing lots of sales. not a smart move.
