Yep, the screen is indeed smaller than a Gear 2 watch (which has a 320 x 320 resolution) but at least we have a participant in the "tablet" segment now, so maybe bigger form factors will be possible. A dev device with a Gear S display (360 x 480 resolution) would be much better of course.
