Today I discovered the existence of the very active and obviously important "Dev" mailing list.
Think I'm joking? Nope. Why? Because it's not linked from https://www.tizen.org/community/mailing-lists. That page links to General, Application Dev, Product Dev and IVI. I subscribed to the first three lists back in June. I didn't subscribe to IVI because I'm not doing anything with IVI. Both Application Dev and Product Dev are pretty "dead". I see now that the "Mailing Lists" page on the website has a link to "mailing list page" which isn't the same, and is the "raw" mailman page, including the "Dev" mailing list. This is just horrible user-experience. Please can we fix the website? All that is needed is for https://www.tizen.org/community/mailing-lists to list all of the active mailing lists. I was not aware for MONTHS that the Forums and mailing lists were different (because why would they be?) and now I find that the primary development mailing list was also "hidden" by poor website flow. I still don't understand what value there is in having separate Forums and mailing lists, rather than combining them, so the Forums are just a browser interface onto the mailing lists. Could this please be considered? Thanks. Cheers, Bob Summerwill Kitsilano Software -- [email protected]
