lucene installation help

hello 
I have installed lucene 1.9 . I have installed junit as well. But when i run 
ant test it just shows 
BUILD FAILED
/root/lucene-1.9-rc1/common-build.xml:169: /root/lucene-1.9-rc1/lib not found.
