Please email me to talk further about this opportunity: [email protected] Pre-Sales Engineer/Solution Architect Job Description The position of Pre-Sales Engineer/Solution Architect is a key position with a high visibility within the company, prospects and partners. In this position you will apply your deep knowledge and expertise with enterprise search technologies and open source ecosystem to help solve customers' challenges in the most cost effective way. The Pre-Sales Engineer/Solution Architect will manage the technical aspects of the account from first call to ongoing support. This person is a hands-on design engineer who will provide technical leadership in operations, sales and professional services. This person had experience working in a fast pace environment and in different capacities in parallel. Delivering tremendous differentiated and perceived value to customers, you will ensure that customers receive the best overall experience through the sales cycle and beyond. You will drive identifying new opportunities to provide a greater value to customers through expanded engagements. Must be able to travel 25-50%. Qualification 1. In depth domain knowledge of enterprise search and open source community 2. Highly versed in proof of concept and demonstration strategies 3. Participate in professional RFP/RFQ responses and familiar with the process 4. Demonstrated ability to learn new concepts and technologies 5. Experience with Solution Selling Methodologies 6. Strong system engineering skills 7. Experience working in sales and professional services organization 8. Experience working with big consulting firm is a plus 9. Familiarity with open source software development 10. Familiarity with enterprise search engines 11. Strong consulting and pre sales skills, flexibility and resourcefulness 12. Experience working in a start-up fast pace environment 13. Excellent oral, presentation and written communication skills 14. Strong project management experience Job responsibilities 1. Work closely with prospects to identify and analyze their technical and business needs and apply your knowledge to provide solutions. 2. You will communicate back to the customer with the necessary feedback and provide with a written comprehensive proposals to drive and motivate the prospects. 3. Demonstrate your in-depth domain knowledge of enterprise search, especially in the open source and particularly in Lucene-stack architecture solution and implementation 4. Conduct delivery of Proof of Concepts to customers from conception till successful delivery 5. You will create the necessary technical demos to support the proposal in which the demo consists of solving the customer's problems. 6. Identifying new opportunities to provide a greater value to customers through expanded engagements. 7. The Sales Engineer will also be involved in some aspects of consulting and training the customer on the use of enterprise search technologies.
