What are the possibilities of making the location of the cache tree a run-time configuration item for cachemode (rather than something configured at build time)? What I mean, is rather than using UDM_VAR_DIR in files.c, cache.c, search.c and in a few other spots, why not make it something configurable in indexer.conf as well as the search templates? Looking at the code, it would definitely take some restructuring, perhaps you could add an item to the UDM_ENV struct. In my opinion, this would add great flexibility to mnoGoSearch. If you extended the idea and also made the search template a form variable that could be passed in to search.cgi (ok, I know I can set the environment variable - but it would be nice to pass as a form variable - and that would be very simple to implement...about 3 lines in search.c it looks like...) then with a single search.cgi you could search any number of cache trees, as well as use any number of templates. Any reason as to why this couldn;t be done? -- Dan ======================================================================== Daniel Hanks - Systems/Database Administrator About Inc., Web Services Division 1253 N.
