Yes this is correct - I am currently re-writing some of the code to cope with this I
will send it to the developement teams as and when I have finished.

You can use crc-multi with the news-extensions - the different modes
(crc/crc-multi/multi etc) only store the words in different formats - the URL's stay
the same.

If you want the news-extensions you will have to have 2 versions.
If you don't have the news-extensions there is no problem indexing the news but you
will not be able to view 'archived' news.... ie the news URL's will point you to the
news server not the news-display engine.
