I may have found a problem/bug with the engine....
1/ Configure with default, and enable cache-mode and phrase then compile.
2/ Configure indexer.conf as required. And index then split documents
as required and documented - to default locations.
3/ Configure 2nd indexer.conf with a new path for the tree and splitter
(eg: /usr/local/search/db ) and configure to use new cachelogd on new port.
4/ Ensure default directories for the new location are created and
are correct permissions.
5/ Start new cachelogd on new port with new location to use for storage
6/ Start indexer with new indexer.conf (by specifying it on the command
line)
7/ Attempt to follow normal splitting proceedures - this will work
but will take a fraction of a second as the wrd.log and del.log files are
not populated as the indexer goes along (unlike in the default setup)
8/ Cry when your indexer has been running for 3 days and then you findout
that there are no words stored anywhere... :-/
Is this a known issue...?
(both cachelogd and the splitter were used with -w <path> directives)
