In case anyone is interested, I wrote some simple wrapper code for Etymon's Pj PDF
processing product (http://www.etymon.com/pj) that allowed you to use Pj to get all
the text from a PDF. This may or may not work better than pdftotext and it may or may
not work with the latest version of Pj, but it's downloadable from
http://ir.iit.edu/~ej/code/PjWrapper.java
