Hi Alexander, many thanks for your quick reply!
Well, it seems like as if the indexer _gets_ a correct connection to the database, at least it does not state any other errors. As soon as I change the database-settings (i.e. connect to some other db, change the db-user or such), I get messages like "access denied for user xy". The thing I really do not understand is the message: (...) Table '.robots' doesn't exist' (...) Of course, there is NO table called '.robots', it's called 'robots'. Do you have an idea where the '.' comes from? Is this the error? What else could I check? *T*H*A*N*K*S* *A* *L*O*T* Andreas (...) > Subject: Re: #1146: Table '.robots' doesn't exist > > The problem is that the indexer always says "#1146: Table '.robots' > > doesn't exist'" when it is run, although the table "robots" does exist. > > (even dropped it several times and re-created it!) > > > > What is quite strange is that before using the current database (which > > is located on an extra db-server), it worked fine....
