It can't handle so many URL like in Google. However you can succesfully index up to 500.000 documents on a single box. With distribution of search database ability, which was recently implemented in 3.2.x branch, you can index more documents by adding new machines into search claster. We have also so called "cache" storage mode, which is able to search quickly through about 5 mln documents on a SINGLE box, however this code is is beta, not stable. It may work, it may not work.
