Author: Zubin Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Message: Hi, Now that Monty and his friends at MySql AB have declared MySql Replication stable,I would like to know if it is possible to configure a Redundant Array of Inexpensive Servers(RAIS) in which the index is replicated across several machines for high availabilty. Are there any issues in such a set up. What about the problems if any with in-memory indexes in such a set up.
This is till you have made it possible to distribute the index on mutiple machines/databases which I see is on the top of your TODO list. Also is it possible to keep the search site live when the process of indexing is on. Do you have to bring down the service to reindex the database. Can you allow users to search the existing index while reindexing is on?
