Author: Michael Crawford Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Message: I am having trouble with the search facility. I have setup search.exe in a cgi-bin directory below the IIS root directory on my machine. When I invoke http://localhost/cgi-bin/search.exe in IE, the browser asks whether I want to download the file or run it where it is. If I select run it where it is, a DOS window briefly opens, something flashes through it, and then it closes with no result produced and the browser content unchanged. Similarly if I try to access with Netscape, it tries to download the file. So the search process never gets to run. Grateful for any suggestions on how to avoid this problem.
