mnogo 3.2.3 weird charakters in searchresult

Hi,

after updating from the 3.1 to 3.2.3 i always recieve some weird chararacter
with the search result:

Example:
        1. Wildpark L�neburger Heide
        Der Wildpark ist am 20. August 1970 er�ffnet worden und durch
private Initiative entstanden. Der Wildpark L�neburger Heide befindet sich
direkt am ...
        Letzte Aktualisierung: 19.02.2002 - 00:48:18, 43821 bytes
      When searching for 'Heide' there is always a '' before and a '' at
the end of the word.
      I'm display data from title and description column. Have the same
effect on 2 different maschines but alway runing php4.1.1, mysql4.0.1 an
mnogo 3.2.3 on linux.

      At the moment i use 'str_replace' to delete the chars. Charset is
alway
      iso-8859-1.

      Any hints ?
