Author: John Hays Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Message: I am brand new to the search engine.
Here is my problem. I have mnogosearch running SuSE Linux 7.2 with Mysql (and Apache). This is running in a predominately Microsoft shop and I am trying to index a fileserver, then provide links for the browser that just point to the MS namespace to find the file. I do an smbmount of the share I want to index. Lets call it /mnt/server/X/Y/ ... If I index on this path, it indexes all of the files below just fine. But what I really want to do, is use file:/mnt/server/X/Y/ for an alias and map it (like a mirror) to file://server_name/X/Y/... I have tried all sorts of changes in indexer.conf but to no avail. I will get a URL for the top level, but nothing below it. So the question is, why - Server file://server_name/X/Y/ file:/mnt/server/X/Y/ doesn't work? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
