Hello, As a end-user, I'm thinking that it'd be great if Chandler could support ACAP. It is the IMAP companion and is very useful for roaming.
When I read _Possible Email Configuration Features_ [1] it makes me think to the ACAP Email Personality Dataset Class [2] and ACAP Email Account Dataset Class [3]. [4] http://www.watersprings.org/pub/id/draft-ietf-acap-abook-03.txt [5] http://www.watersprings.org/pub/id/draft-ietf-acap-book-06.txt And I forgot the ACAP Dictionary Dataset Class ! http://www.watersprings.org/pub/id/draft-ietf-acap-dict-00.txt So, answering to the question "Do we want to support Application Configuration Access Protocol?" [7], I say, "For my part, Yes". [7] http://wiki.osafoundation.org/bin/view/Chandler/MailConfiguration "Why?" Because "[...] I haven't found anything better" - http://dave.cridland.net ACAP is a very powerful protocol and has been unfortunately ignored. But ACAP could be the wheel. -- kael _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Open Source Applications Foundation "General" mailing list http://lists.osafoundation.org/mailman/listinfo/general
