Ok, I think I know where I got lost. You proposed we combine Get Involved and For Developers (I think) and we had discussed / decided earlier to combine For Developers with the Engineering Area and call it Developer Area instead. So now I guess I'll go back to asking why we need to have separate Community and Get Involved pages. It seems like the 2 are 2 sides of the same coin. (Here's how to get involved...Here's why we care about you getting involved and what does it mean to get involved.)

Look at the difference in content between:

<http://chandler.osafoundation.org/getinvolved.php>

and

<http://chandlerproject.org/Projects/CommunityArea>

Assume that we delete the section called "get involved" from the Community Area page. There's then very little overlap between those two pages. I think that the two pages serve very different purposes. One is a set of gentle onramps for people to find a way to get involved based on tasks. The Community Area page is one level above that -- it includes the governance, the various roles, etc. I think that combining those pages puts too much information in a single place.

Perhaps it's a matter of balancing the elements on that page? De- emphasize the notes for example and blow up the Get Involved area.

I imagine this as a destination for understanding our open design process, mailing list etiquette and best practices for discussing issues and making decisions, etc...

Nope, that's not my proposal -- I think we need a developer area and the more generic Get Involved page

I think "Developer", "Develop", or "Development" would all be reasonable options -- I don't feel particularly strongly about one over another.

The EngineeringArea is due to be pushed out as a new chandlerproject.org wiki area, at the same level as "Product" and "Teams". There are a couple options for the specific name to be used. "EngineeringArea" is due to become "DevelopersArea", which suggests "Developers" as wiki web area name. But "Develop" is shorter, and does not overlap conceptually with "Teams".
"Development" is also an option.
PPD are the drivers for the wiki taxonomy, but anyone is welcome to chime-in. Right now, I personally favor "Develop" for its brevity, but it doesn't feel perfect.
