I've fixed Babel so that it *should* recognize dates, booleans, and
numbers in Excel. But for the life of me I can't get Excel itself to
parse the dates I enter :S
Anyway, please give it a try. Here's the xls file I used to test:

As for using numbers in the label column, I'll take a look later on.
