Dear Mr. Lytras,

The nationalistic conditioning you have been subjected to and your willing
"ignorance," has nothing to do with the human right of Macedonians to their
own identity, including naming a country Republic of Macedonia, or the
struggle for human and civic rights of minorities in Greece (www.florina.org).
If you do not want to know about these issues, I invite you to change your
mind - at least employ your scientific curiosity and come for a visit. Greek
and all other tourists are very welcome in Republic of Macedonia. :-)

The term "FYROM" is considered very derogatory and insulting, by the
citizens of Republic of Macedonia, because it was imposed in the UN as
result of political blackmail in early 1990s, which included harsh economic
embargo by Greece and a threat of joint invasion (from South and North) in
collusion with Mr. Slobodan Milosevic, the then-president of Serbia.

The geographical area of Macedonia is shared by many people, citizens of
several Balkan countries. It is better to promote knowledge, tolerance, and
cultural diversity, NOT hatred. Timelines are a great tool to promote
positive sharing of common heritage of humanity.

If the "Greekness" is so important to you, I invite you to respond by making
a timeline of the Greek blogosphere. It would be interesting to get to know
more about it, or some other area of scientific or social interest, like the
struggle for human rights of Greek minorities.

Regards,
Filip

Subject: Timeline of Macedonian blogosphere
Hello all - happy New year and Winter holidays!
:-)

I love the Timeline and have been passive member of the list, so far. I'm
happy to inform you that I developed a simple timeline documenting the
development of Macedonia-related blogs:

http://filip.stir.org/timeline/macedonia/blogs/english.html

It's available both in Macedonian and English.

Regards,
Filip
