[For those who just came to earth from outer space, OLPC is the One
Laptop Per Child project (http://www.laptop.org/)]

I was able to run an OLPC image (build 214 if anybody wants to try too)
on my mac laptop inside parallels, turn on the network and try exhibit +
timeline (http://simile.mit.edu/exhibit/) on it.

Performance-wise, it's very usable but this is running on my Intel Core2
Duo not on the ultra-low-powered AMD Geode that powers the laptops.

Very cool nevertheless to see that it runs just fine (OLPC's browser is
built with XULRunner)
