Thanks for all the pointers. Is SPARQL (or a subset thereof) what you would like to see in Exhibit? (After all, not all research produces results likely to fit a non-research audience; I'm not aware of how SPARQL fares here.) A stated (if, perhaps, blue sky) goal of becoming a first-class citizen of the browser DOM does however suggest picking proven favourites for strategically important choices, over inventing one's own.
