Hi,

I'm trying to pass RDF to the Babel GET service to get back JSON.
But I get this error: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Not a valid
(absolute) URI:

I suspect that this is because the url I am passing to Babel is itself
the uri of a get service (the eRDF extractor).

I've tried encoding the target url, just encoding the url being passed
to the eRDF extractor, and double encoding the url being passed to the
eRDF extractor. All with the same result.

An example of the url I am pasting into my browser:
http://simile.mit.edu/babel/translator?reader=rdf-xml&writer=exhibit-json&url=http://research.talis.com/2005/erdf/extract?uri=http%253A%252F%252Fkeithalexander.co.uk%252F

If I take away the last url, I get something back at least. If I change
it to anything, I get the error.

Is there a way round this?

Yours,

Keith
