The web developer toolbar for firefox is also good. It has some
options to view the live, generated DOM as a source code, can
highlight DIVs and SPANs, or it can highlight specific Classes or IDs
of DOM objects.... I'd like to reiterate the need for firebug with the
JS aspects, and insight from the scripting side of things, but also
check out the web developer toolbar. It has a lot of great things that
can help sometimes.
