Sorry David,
I wasn't expecting that much of a response to the scissors.  Perhaps a
modifier inside each lens to turn on/off individual copying.  something like

ex:copyIndividual="[true|false]"


This way if an exhibitor wants to allow copy individual items they can
do so, but if they want to remove that feature for map or timeline or
scatter plot views they can have that feature turned off.

I feel responsible for causing the removal of the scissors which in turn
makes me feel that I should at least be helping you out in figuring out
how to replace it, which I'm completely more than fine with :)
