Lee,
the Timeline examples suggested by Ben are useful to solve the problem. It
is a stylesheet problem that I solved by adding the following code:

on top of the <head >section:
<link rel="stylesheet" href="style.css" type="text/css" />

inside   function onload ():
var theme = Timeline.ClassicTheme.create();
  theme.event.label.width = 250; // px
  theme.event.bubble.width = 250;
  theme.event.bubble.height = 200;
  theme.ether.backgroundColors.unshift("white");

inside Timeline.createBandInfo({ :
theme:          theme

Have a good luck!

Giuseppe
