has a rather nice space-time visualization combining a google map, a time line and cones going in and out of focus on event locations, as the view is animated along the time axis. He appears to be heading in the direction of publicizing his data REST style in JSON format: http://mike.teczno.com/notes/oakland-crime-maps/VI.html and already has some well-marked-up HTML format data available: http://data.crimespotting.org/Oakland-2007-01-01-ROBBERY.html It would be fun to see what he'd make of Exhibit as the client side vehicle he is looking for to do the rendering of his data. Were he to give JSONP a shot, we'd all be able to craft our own exhibits from the data right away to surprise him with community contributed visualizations or mashups of the data. -- / Johan Sundström, http://ecmanaut.blogspot.com/ _______________________________________________ General mailing list [email protected] http://simile.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/general
