I don't quite get what you want... Would it be possible for you to mock
up a screenshot of how you ideally want this thing to work, given that
it's different from the version you already have?
I would like to almost identically re-create that link from my original
post. It would just make things simpler with the-scrolling action of the
timeline.

Perhaps it most resembles what you want.
This is sort of what I am after. Imaging "History of Neuroscience", "World
History", and "Technology" are all study sites. But there are 100 of them,
and each are only one event high.
