Hi,

I've just started looking at the SIMILE Timeline widget, which appears to
be a most ingenious tool for displaying complex temporal data.

In playing with the component, I'm trying to represent different phases
within projects on a timeline - much of it is reasonably straightforward
based on the current architecture, but I'd like to be able to represent a
project on a single line (row) with nested details, something along the
lines of:

+-----------------------------------------------------------------+
| Oswald interrogation |
| o [_________________________] [__________] o|
+-----------------------------------------------------------------+

Where the bit between the square brackets represents a sub-duration, and
the "o" are regular milestone type entries. The text descriptions for
these can be hidden and presented when clicked, as with present.

I would suggest that the data structure can be represented as nested
events, along the lines of:

<event start="Fri Nov 22 1963 14:25:00 GMT-0600" end="Fri Nov 22 1963
16:04:00 GMT-0600" isDuration="true" title="Oswald interrogation">
Oswald interrogation in Office of Captain Will Fritz.
  <event start="Fri Nov 22 1963 14:25:00 GMT-0600" title=""> ... </event>
  ...
</event>

or the JSON equivelents.

Many thanks for such a fine presentation utility.
Adrian
