Juhan,

Thank you for your email. This designer in the house is responsible for 
that change and has heard you loud and clear :-) I will certainly put 
the original layout back before officially releasing Timeline again. Or 
if you or Michael have done that, then you can just send me a patch. 
(I'm currently pressed to defend my thesis so a patch from you would 
help a lot.)

Please feel free to do design crit right here on this mailing list. 
We're always open to suggestions, and others beside me would learn from 
your critiques. We are not professional visual designers, but we do have 
skills in visual design and user interface design. As I'm sure you're 
well aware, designs must be tested against real users to see how they 
hold up. And in this case, it seems that my new design isn't holding up 
in some aspects.

If you want to collaborate more with us on the coding and design, that 
is fantastic! We can carry on that conversation off the list. Actually, 
it's funny that we're not aware how much you make use of our software 
until we "break" it :-) We would love to hear more about how you're 
making use of Timeline, etc.
