Is there any way to change a band's characteristics without creating a new
theme? From the examples and documentation, I have not been able to figure
out how.
Related to this, here are some suggestions for enhancements to Timeline.
a. Allow each timeline object (bands, zones, events, etc.) to have
an optional CSS class ID. Users can then use CSS to change the object's
appearance, and CSS style sheets could be used to give multiple looks to a
given timeline.
b. Use a second XML file (or more ambitiously, a configuration
language, or even more ambitiously, a GUI interface) to configure a
timeline's appearance. As long as Timeline requires end users to modify
JavaScript, its appeal will be limited. This practice also makes for bad
web-page design [see http://www.bennolan.com/behaviour/ and, more generally,

75 regarding library functions, modularity, and using software elements that
do only one thing well].
Not withstanding, Timeline is terrific software. Thanks for developing it.
