Sadly documentation is somewhat lacking...
Probably the best thing to do would be to look at examples that use
them. Look in:
src/webapp/site/examples/
factbook is probably your best bet at seeing them in action. I
believe they only work in Firefox, though, and are a little buggy.
That said, if you have specific questions e-mail the list and we
might be able to help you out.
