Hi Chad,

We're all big fans of your exhibit, believe me. :-)

You're not the first to have problems with the new Timeline layout. David (the main guy behind it all) is aware of the issue, and I'm pretty sure he said he's going to revert back to the old way or at least make it an option.

That said, he just finished his Ph.D.* so I think he's taking a (well- deserved) break for a few weeks. Sorry, I don't know how to help you in the interim. Maybe someone else has some suggestions.

* I saw his defense, and I'm pretty sure that I saw your composers page used as an example of excellent exhibits out "in the wild"!

I have run into a problem with my Timeline using version 2. My guess is that there is no way to make it do what I want it to do, but I will ask anyway.

I have so many timeline event bars in the same relative time period that I have to make the Timeline box scroll far off the bottom of the screen in order for all of them to be displayed at once. Even after making the font size just 8px I still have the problem. It can be seen at:

Short of removing some of the lesser known composers from that time period is there any other way to edit the timeline to allow me to fit everything within one screen height? It almost appears as though the old version of Timeline renders all this data in a better way by putting the names in the bars instead of outside. Is there a way to make the new version put the text inside the bars instead of offset from them?
