Jeffrey,

Exhibit cannot handle large data sets. I'd recommend using it for about 
500 records. If you're just using it for yourself and you have a fast 
browser (such as Safari 3), then 2000 records are still good.

We have a different and older project called Longwell that handles 
larger data sets
    http://simile.mit.edu/wiki/Longwell
but we still have to move various new ideas in Exhibit over to Longwell 
to make it more convenient to set up / use.

What sort of data are you dealing with if I may ask?
