Yes, this is blocking me and target users.

FYI the reason I am investigating this is for integration with FileMaker
Pro.

FileMaker now has a feature called "Web Viewer" which can display web data
inside FileMaker. The FileMaker application calls on platform-native
technology to make this happen: IE on Windows, Webkit (Safari) on Mac.

The users's default browser does not matter in this case.
