A default selection is easy. In the facet tag, simply use ex:selection="Whatever". So for example:

<div ex:role="facet" ex:expression=".state" ex:facetLabel="State" ex:selection="Massachusetts"></div>

As for the exporters -- I'm not so sure about that. Maybe someone else can help out here?

Hi List,

First off, a big congratulations to David Huynh for engineering such an amazing tool.

I'm wondering, is it possible to define a pre-selected selection for facets? And is it possible to turn off the Exporters entirely?

Thanks in advance,

Kevin Smith

Richa,

Thank you for your email. We ourselves are also interested in making
Exhibit capable of handling larger data sets, but we don't have anything for you to try out right now. If you have already started on that work, we'd love to hear the details and see your prototype in action. As this will be a pretty technical discussion, I'd recommend taking it off this
mailing list.

Best,

David

Hello,

Well first of all .. congrats for this great tool called 'Exhibit'. I
am a final year student of Bachelor of engineering(Information
Technology) and have been working as an intern with Mr. Abhay Shete
of Infinity systems for the last one month. When we tried to
incorporate exhibit in his new information engine , we realized that
exhibit cannot handle a large set of records, Since then. we've been
working at the problem and have come up with a design to solve this
problem. Our solution involves a 'server side' component which gets
activated by a simple tag. This would be useful for "online" applications.

We would love to contribute to exhibit and make it available to a
wider audience. Howerver, if anyone has any alternate solution we
would very much be interested in discussing it and working at the same.

Thanking You,
Richa Bhayani
