Apache Velocity JDK17

Hi,

I am a user of Apache Velocity and our projects are upgrading from jdk11 to
jdk17 and Velocity seems not compatible with the new Java during CI/CD. Any
insight or any recommendation?
Will there be any release for JDK17?
