There is a new crimson distribution which can be downloaded from
http://xml.apache.org/crimson/dist. Crimson version 1.1.2beta2 is a
bugfix release of previous versions and is as stable as previous
versions despite the "beta2" suffix. (See release notes for the
reason.)
I created this distribution as a side effect of prototyping a build
system where the code for the java XML API classes are copied from
xml-commons. Also new in this release is that there is only a single
jar file.
