Absolutely. A list archive with nice URLs like http://listarchive/?list=general.xml.apache.org&number=46823On a related note, is there any way these could be automatically added to the e-mails sent out, probably in a header? This would make it much easier to refer to and cite particular e-mails without having to manually hunt them down in the archives first. --
Yeah, a header like
X-Mailing-Archive-URI: <http://nagoya.apache.org/eyebrowse/ReadMsg?listName=general@;xml.apache.org
&msgNo=239>
or a footer like
-------
You can cite *this* mail using the URI <http://nagoya.apache.org/eyebrowse/ReadMsg?listName=general@;xml.apache.org
&msgNo=239>
You can read the archived mails at <http://nagoya.apache.org/eyebrowse/SummarizeList?listName=general@;xml.apac
he.org>
that's be rated 'killer' ;-))
