Given it's the 10th I thought I would checkpoint where we are. I've collated everything below.
I have a +1 from everyone except :
Sam Ruby Dirk-Willem van Gulik Peter B. West
Given we require a unanimous vote, I have sent follow up e-mails direct to Sam, Ruby and Peter. If anyone on a common developer list wants to follow up as well, I won't say no :>.
Have removed Christian as he resigned from the PMC in mid vote.
Cheers, Berin

Cheers, Berin -------- Original Message -------- Subject: [VOTE] xml.apache.charter take 2 Date: Mon, 28 Jul 2003 19:20:26 +1000 From: Berin Lautenbach <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Reply-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: XML PMC <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> CC: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
All,
Apologies for taking so long on this - I was waiting to see how the XMLBeans vote went.
The only comments over the month or so to the new version of the charter have been around pulling non-governance content out.
I was toying with this, and I think it has the potential to turn into a reasonable amount of work as we try to work out what goes where and how.
So my proposal is that we take an evolutionary approach.
Lets vote on the charter as it currently stands
http://cvs.apache.org/viewcvs.cgi/xml-admin/charter.txt?rev=1.14&content-type=text/vnd.viewcvs-markup
Then maybe myself and any others that are interested look at migrating the charter into a more governance style charter with links into other documents that cover specific issues.
We need a unanimous vote, so I'm not going to put an end date, but will chase people after 10/8 if need be. If we get to a point where I simply cannot contact people then we can discuss. Of course if I get a -1, then back to square 1.
