I fully agree with Thomas here. I'm sorry if my thoughts left some room for interpretation. I can imagine Batik and FOP under a common PMC, but the projects shouldn't merge, nor should the mailing lists. That would create a huge mess. No, we need to create a good environment for the two projects to work closely together and hopefully profit from each other in terms of functionality and shared code.
