Thanks Shane,

Seriously - I am going to put the report to the board by tomorrow night at the latest. That will include the status of the vote to that point, asking for in-principle approval from the board. But that's assuming no -1s between now and then.

Please - your vote is needed!

Cheers,
        Berin

Here's tardy Shane's:
+1 to the FederationProposal.

Note that one thing I want to make sure of is cleaning up the charter
before (or as) we split off any projects. We could definitely look to
jakarta or other more recent TLP's charters to have some clearer and
simpler voting procedures (stating we need complete participation in a
vote in an all-volunteer project is too much for most votes...)

Peoples,

In the interests of moving things along, I'd like to propose that we
present the Federation proposal to the board in the Feb report as an
"in principle" approach to meeting their requirements.

So if PMC members could vote on the proposal at :

http://nagoya.apache.org/wiki/apachewiki.cgi?XMLProjectPages/FederationProposal

I'll start off with a +1 from me.

Cheers,
