I’m pleased to report that there were two Google Summer of Code projects awarded to Batik, both in the area of improving Batik’s document inspection. Ivan Andjelkovic will work on extending the document inspector to allow editing of the document, while Jasleen Singh will work on improved error reporting (perhaps with a Firefox-style error console) and an animation timeline viewer.
