Al - No problem. Fortunately, I am slow. > > patch_A.txt should be used if you have NOT applied the patch I sent in > the previous email. I applied this patch. It seems to work just fine. Thank you. I also added a bit to the documentation (generateDS.txt / generateDS.html) about the new command line flag (--silence). I've uploaded a new version: http://www.rexx.com/~dkuhlman/generateDS-1.15c.tar.gz By the way, I suspect that for your purposes or use case, this fix (the --silence flag) is the way to go. But, for some cases you might want to think about copying one of the parse functions to a separate file (or into your application code), then importing the file/module generated by generateDS.py. That way you can keep the generated code and your application code separate. ... just a thought, as we say. > > patch_B.txt is the incremental changes from the previous email and > should be used if you HAVE applied that first patch. > > Again, I am very sorry about sending out the incomplete patch. So, for a layman, perhaps more entropy is like more noise in a message. Yes? Well, at least, I think I know now that less entropy is better than more entropy, all other things being equal, of course, and vice versa, one would assume. (You will have to forgive me. We saw the light opera "Pirates of Penzance" last night, and I believe I still am suffering from a bit of residual silliness.) But, more seriously, thank you much for your work on this.
